May wildflower event in Wintergreen, Va.
The Wintergreen Nature Foundation is sponsoring a Spring Wildflower Symposium May 14-16.
The
symposium will focus on native wildflowers and related topics such as
ferns, native birds as well as their supporting ecosystems. Sessions
include walks, lectures or workshops that are led by instructors who
are experts in their fields. Participants choose from a variety of
sessions allowing them to customize the event.The Wintergreen Nature Foundation encourages the understanding, appreciation and conservation of the natural and cultural resources of the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. The foundation functions as a research and education facility for its members and visitors, and serves as a host site for regional and national conservation efforts.
The cost of the symposium is $120 and registration is required. Accomodations are available at the Wintergreen Resort.
